From Here to Eternity is a 1977 studio album by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder. It peaked at number 130 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album's title track peaked at number 16 on the UK Singles Chart. 5 stars out of 5, saying: The metallic beats, high-energy impact, and futuristic effects prove that Moroder was ahead of his time like few artists of the 1970s Kraftwerk included, and the free-form songwriting on tracks like 'Lost Angeles', 'First Hand. From Here to Eternity was Moroder's third solo LP after 1972's underrated, if redundantly titled Son of My Father, and 1976's Knights in White Satin, and is a marvel for disco historians, and a perfect nugget of dance music for anyone else. Its opening sidelong mix predates house by almost a decade, yet would and did fit perfectly in the set of DJ aiming to keep people happy via Euro-centric electro beats and angelic vocoder-ized choruses. The second half of From Here to Eternity loses some of the charge, if only due to its comparatively conventional, disconnected structure
