Short Movie the new album from Laura Movie is the fifth studio album by British singer-songwriter Laura Marling, and was released on 23 March 2015. On June 17th, Marling released a deluxe version of the record, Short Movie Director's Cut. The deluxe record included new tracks, as well as new artwork. Marling was nominated for the Best Female Solo Artist. Laura Marling - Short Movie - Tracklist Album Art Lyrics. About Short Movie. While by no means a straight-up electric guitar album, Short Movie does bristle with a current of nervy energy, and that coffee-black, post-midnight buzz is the fuel that gives cuts like False Hope, Don't Let Me Bring You Down, Gurdjieff's Daughter, and the hypnotic title track their swagger. Genre: Singer-Songwriter. Short Movie is her way of making up for that lost time and continuing to push toward greater personal and musical progress. Full Review. Best of 2015. Worst of 2015. Laura Marling - Short Movie review: An imperfectly beautiful transition born out of soul-searching. I don't think it's as good as Once I Was An Eagle would rate it a 4. 2 and Short Movie a if I could, but I still think it's a worthy entry to her discography. Album Rating: 3. Enjoyed this one a lot, your review is also very well written, gratz on the feature. StrangerofSorts Emeritus March 28th 2015. March 24, 2015 1:20PM ET. Short Movie. Im just a horse with no name, sings Laura Marling on Warrior - slyly invoking the 1970s soft-rock hit by America while conjuring a wanderer on an English moor, and teasing a horse whore play on words while telling her errant knight to please dismount. Its a flash of lyrical left hooks on a set where the British singer-songwriter goes all Judas, like Dylan before her, recording with electric guitar and broadening her palette without sacrificing her subtly badass folkie persona. As on the striking lead sequence of 2013s Once I Was an Eagle, Marling plays with repeated motifs. Laura Marling : Short Movie,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен
