Infestissumam is the second studio album by the Swedish rock band Ghost. It was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, produced by Nick Raskulinecz and released on April 10, 2013. It was released in North America by Loma Vista Recordings on April 16 in partnership with Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group, marking the band's major label debut. The album was generally well-received, with several music publications placing it on their list of the best heavy metal albums of the year, and won. This is my review of the Ghost B. as they're known here in America album Infestissumam. This is their second album-and while I was a little B. Ghost do not allow potential fans to become casual bystanders. The Satanic doom, heavy metal act strive to convert you through a unique brand of deceptively beautiful music, leaving listeners convulsing and speaking in tongues, much like those inside the most fundamental Evangelical or Pentecostal church. Infestissumam' is the sound of Ghost embracing their concept with far greater precision, creating vivid sonic visuals of both Satan's birth and its preceding rituals. The title track of 'Infestissumam' immediately transports the listener into a black mass, as Ghost, along with a breathtaking choir, begin the Satanic rite with an unnerving beauty. Infestissumam is Ghosts second full-length album. This was a transition album for the band, helping them change their sound and it is considered an important album for their discography. Infestissumam Q&A. What have the artists said about the album A Nameless Ghoul told Loudwire: the first album is about the forthcoming arrival of the Devil, spoken very much in biblical terms, much like the church will say that doomsday is near. Album Review: GHOST B. Posted by Jeremy Ulrey on April 10, 2013 at 11:57 am. After the initial come down of Per Aspera Ad Inferi, Ghost B. quickly get down to their updated template and pretty much stay there. Body and Blood is straight up AM Gold, a sort of inverse to what Type O Negative attempted with their covers of Summer Breeze and Cinnamon Girl, instead imagining what Strawberry Alarm Clock or Three Dog Night would sound like eulogizing Satan instead of carrying on about flower power. Released in 2013, Infestissumam, which translated from Latin means hostile, is just as apocalyptic and musically adventurous as its predecessor, offering up ten new Beelzebub-approved singalongs that reside somewhere between Gothenburg and Broadway. On their second album Infestissumam, Ghost resumed the role of the biggest, most interesting new comers in RockHeavy metal in years. Their distinct look and sound makes them really stand out from most bands in the genre these days. Starting the album off with another creepy intro, bursting into Per Aspera Ad Inferi it is obvious that the band have not lost any of their touch. Ghost - Infestissumam. According to a 2013 interview with Papa Emeritus II, The title, Infestissumam, means the biggest threat and refers literally to the arrival of the Antichrist. Recording information: Recorded and mixed at Blackbird Studios, Nashville, Tennessee. The bands upcoming album Infestissumam - one of SPINs 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2013 - was scheduled to come out April 9th, but instead it has been pushed back a week to April 16th. The reason for the delay: Four - four - compact disc manufacturers have refused to print a piece of artwork that was destined for the deluxe version of the new album. The manufacturers all took issue with the sacrilegious imagery, forcing Ghost B. to quickly come up with an alternate plan. In order to avoid delaying the album release any longer, Ghost B

Reviews of the Ghost B.C. - Infestissumam (7):
My copy sounds very good, compared to the cd (that I also own) this has a warmer and not so trebly sound that makes it very pleasant to hear, no fancy booklet but to be honest I never look at vinyl booklets so I don't really mind, the price was a steal and the jacket is pretty well done, I would recommend this copy.
Sorry, is first european press still as Ghost BC? Thought is only US.
Yes, this edition has the BC mention on the band's name.
I'm happy with my copy; sounds pretty clean for the most part.
A bit noisy (dirty?) red vinyl for a new disc. A few loudish pops here and there. No skipping or distortion though so still listenable in my book. Lyrics are printed in the gatefold but there's no artwork booklet, so if that matters to you go for another print.
I have a perfect sound quality on my copy (red european copy).
True. Bit distortion here and there and soundquality is not the best. Got the red one too.
