Album 2008 3 Songs. Ovid 8 Fjordfunk. 2008 3 Songs. Ovid 8. Electronic 2008. Your Rating. Overview . Ovid 8 gives me visions of cold snow-laid coastlines of Norway. A sweet tubular synth-line opens up for some layered stretched out rhodes. Very creepy, cold and eerie but very beautiful. Deep aztec tribal rhythms to hump it along. The beginning of Lindstrøm's mix sounds like a bunch of hippies sitting in their bell-bottoms trying to string out a tune. However it plonks down to his trademark downtempo disco beat. When the chorus comes in, it sounds more like a pop-song than disco. OVID 8. 12 Vinyl BE. Lunaflicks, luna001. ovid 8. let our spirits go - lindstroem 2003 en romodysse remix. Nice Price Deal Behold ear goodies from Fjordfunk, with his hi quality sonic fishing fleet. The sounds of epic coldwater trawling can now be yours in the safety and comfort of your own adobe. The Scampi Disco Scamp takes dancefloor analog melodic waves from the seas and oceans of tranquility, and then weaves the cosmogony of new record label, Luna Flicks, deftly and with the skill of Loki himself into strangely solid beat nets to catch unwary listeners by the feet. With this, the first lunar orbit, we hear Ovid 8 metamorphose into a post 911 poissonier. Tracks in release Ovid 8. Trackname, Key, BPM, Publish date. Artists, Remixers, Label. Reviews of the Fjordfunk - Ovid 8 (1):

Lately from the souphead of Jan Marius has seen some wickedness. But here hedoes some nice things. This record can be described many ways.
Syntax Erik is Jan Marius's old partner from the Kyd & Kango days. He provides a remix in the house veins. Really scruffy beats with a nasty electro bassline. Some old fashioned synthlines plonked down very similar to the ones Erot (rest his soul) used in 'Song For Annie'.
The breakdown is quite funny though. He uses the cracks and pops from a record which he enhanced to make a beat.
Simone does some nice vocals here to sum it up.
Something for everyone i guess!
